David Vernon

David Vernon is the Chief Legal Officer and ESG Lead at KingSett Capital. David joined KingSett in 2015 and is responsible for legal, people and culture, corporate governance, compliance, corporate secretarial functions, KingSett’s ESG strategy and overall risk mitigation. He has been a member of KingSett’s Management Committee since 2019.

Prior to joining KingSett, David spent over eight years as a senior associate in the corporate practice group at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP where he focused on M&A, corporate finance, corporate governance and general corporate matters including experience in the real estate and private equity sectors. David completed a secondment to the Corporate Finance Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission in 2010.

David graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, holds an Honours Business of Administration degree from Ivey Business School at Western University, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006. Among his community involvement, David serves on the Board of Directors for TanenbaumCHAT and is a committee member for the Mount Sinai Classic.
