Our exclusive focus on Canada allows for in-depth local knowledge of key investment markets. KingSett’s principals have invested in these markets for the past 25 to 40 years and our team has served as buyer, seller, developer, asset manager, lender, lessor, or tenant for over $70 billion in assets within our target market.

We invest our own money in our ideas, with approximately 10% of the firm's funded equity commitments coming from KingSett principals and employees. These investments are made on the same terms and conditions as external Limited Partners to facilitate strong alignment of interests.

We manage over 18 million square feet across our portfolio and seek to create value through strategies including leasing, site intensification, repositioning, rezoning, land entitlement, conversions, decarbonizations and capital improvements.

Notable achievements include decarbonizing Scotia Plaza, Canada’s largest zero-carbon commercial building, and the Fairmont Royal York, one of the largest hotel deep carbon retrofits globally. In 2020, we launched a strategy to address Canada’s housing crisis by actively developing sustainable housing communities that include a meaningful affordable component.
