Jake Smith

Jake Smith is a Director, Multifamily Mortgages at KingSett Capital. Jake joined KingSett in 2015 and is responsible for sourcing CMHC-insured multifamily loans and related bridge and second mortgage facilities. Jake has held progressive roles within the lending platform, most recently originating commercial and
residential mortgages across Canada, including uninsured construction facilities and second mortgages.

Prior to joining KingSett, Jake was a senior underwriter at Otéra Capital, where he focused on large project construction lending. Before his career in finance, Jake worked as a licensed Professional Engineer and was a project manager with Halsall Associates (now WSP), providing servicing related to capital planning,
asset management and construction oversight.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Queen’s University and a Master of Business Administration from Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
