Role Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end accounts payable for high-value transactions across various funds and properties.
- Implement invoice verification protocols and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Develop and manage intercompany invoicing systems to facilitate reimbursements across funds and properties.
- Apply GL coding techniques for transactions within Procure to Pay and establish validation protocols.
- Create and refine system approval workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee high-volume payment runs, including international wire transfers, large-scale ACH payments, and high-value cheques.
- Maintain relationships with major financial institutions to facilitate transaction processing.
- Maintain strategic vendor relationships and resolve disputes.
- Implement Payee Match protocols in Yardi Voyager and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage centralized financial records and ensure system synchronization.
- Oversee employee expense reimbursements and manage fund transfers.
- Prepare and distribute monthly returns to investors.
- Process funding requests for property acquisitions and developments.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and generating financial reports.
- Implement strategies to minimize aged balances and improve cash flow management.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators for the accounts payable function.
Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years of accounts payable experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience managing accounts payable functions for a large portfolio.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager and Procure to Pay systems. Familiarity with other financial software and ERP systems is an asset,
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Strong analytical thinking, project management and process improvement expertise.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial audience.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
