Associate, Capital Markets

About the Opportunity

KingSett Capital is seeking an Associate, Capital Markets to join our CMHC lending platform. Reporting to the Associate Director, Capital Markets, Multifamily Mortgages, you will be responsible for the MBS administration and monitoring of a portfolio of commercial CMHC-insured mortgages – you will take ownership of this as a solutions-oriented individual and help manage relationships with investors.

Role Responsibilities

Support the creation, administration, and reporting of multifamily NHA MBS pools from issuance through maturity, including submitting required forms and documentation to CMHC, CPTA, and the investor, on a timely basis.
Prepare and reconcile daily, monthly, and pool-level investor remittances against the NHA MBS Guide's requirements, prepare associated wire remittances, and track cash balances to ensure there are sufficient funds.
Work with internal teams to proactively address missed payments and monitor compliance of NHA MBS & MLI Select requirements impacting securitization.
Respond to audit requests from internal and external auditors; support preparation of the annual Agreed-Upon Procedures Report.
Complete special ad hoc projects as required including process-improvement initiatives, leveraging AI and other tools to improve efficiencies.

Candidate Profile

Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within real estate or financial services.
Experience with the CMHC NHA MBS Program and MortgageHub is strongly preferred.
Experience with securitization is considered an asset.
FSRA Mortgage Agent Level 1 or 2 licence is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills with high attention-to-detail and a solutions-driven mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority.

Compensation

Base salary range of $100,000 - $115,000.

Total compensation includes salary, variable discretionary bonus, benefits, & other perks.
