Role Responsibilities

Management and review of the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for both Mortgage and Property entities, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, investor reporting, bank covenant reporting, mortgage portfolio analysis and other ad hoc analyses as required.
Preparation and review of investor-related activities, including capital calls and distributions as well as updating and maintaining the investor transaction database.
Managing the treasury process, including forecasting cash flows and managing daily debt positions
Assisting the Mortgage Operations team with information requests as well as providing any analyses or ad hoc reconciliations as required.
Preparation of the annual budget; working with the Mortgage Operations and Property Accounting teams.
Management of the annual financial statement audit as well as the review of corporate tax filings and investor tax materials prepared by external auditors.
Oversight of 1 direct report (Financial Analyst).

Candidate Profile

CPA designation with 3+ years of experience.
Ability to prepare consolidated financial statements and related note disclosures under ASPE.
Excellent proficiency with MS Excel; familiarity with CoPilot or other AI tools is an asset.
Excellent problem solving/critical thinking skills.
Positive attitude and takes initiative.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and with others.
Experience with Yardi accounting software is an asset.
Experience in the mortgage lending or real estate industries is an asset.

Compensation

Base salary range of $80,000-$95,000.
Total compensation includes salary, variable discretionary bonus, benefits, & other perks.
